It's the first Friday of the month and it's time to call for LIFE!

Thank you for all you do for the unborn. Without us speaking out for them, they would die in silence. In the end, our representatives, through our prodding, will do the right thing and end abortion.

I would like to ask everyone to do one more thing for the unborn this month. Please contact at least 2 people who might do just a little bit more to help the unborn and encourage them to join us in the Monthly Call for Life. It's only once a month, and it's so easy! There is plenty going on in the Pro-Life world right now. Of course the Call for Life is today, on Sunday is the Life Chain at http://LifeChain.net and Pro-Life Memorial Day is on Monday. I will be speaking at the Supreme Court with other Pro-Life groups, joining with American Life League for this event. Then we have the National Day of Silent Solidarity at http://silentday.org on October 21st. Over 2500schools will be participating this year!

The Pro-Life Legislative Action Team Forum (PLATForum) is official! Johanna Dasteel, Senior Congressional Liaison for American Life League and I are working together to help represent Pro-Life on the hill. The time has come for Pro-Life people and organizations to have a 100% Pro-Life voice, one which not only provides education on research and ethical issues to our representatives, but also to help us understand what is being voted on, and give us a chance to let them know where we stand on these issues when they are proposed.

Last week, Dr. David Prentice from the Family Research Council spoke about ethical research at the FRC, where the opening was held. The videos for event that are going up over the next few days, but you can see his short talk and some interviews on the site now.

We will build a separate site for the PLATForum soon, but until then, you can see our articles and videos at ProLifeUnity.com.

Speaking of videos, I'd like for y'all to welcome Michael, our new cameraman and producer. He has been incredible, posting videos on our sites faster than I can write the supporting articles for them! EyeBlast has a great bunch of more conservative videos, & again, with decent quality. We are honored that they added us as a Channel, available from the pulldown at the top-right.

After that event, Johanna and I rushed over to the congressional Cannon terrace. The event was the introduction of the Prenatal Nondiscrimination bill, sponsored by Congressman Trent Franks. Present were Dr. Alveda King, Dr. Johnny Hunter, Day Gardner and many more. We interviewed them and others, and those videos will be going up in the next week.

Then it was on to the 40 Days for Life Kickoff Rally at Lafayette Park, right across the street from the White House. About a hundred people gathered for speeches, followed by a procession to the 16th Street abortion mill. Yep, more videos to follow from that event as well.

If you haven't signed up for a 40 Days for Life shift at an abortion mill, go to 40DaysForLife.com and do so. Hundreds of thousands of us are doing our part to take part in 24 hour prayer vigils. I guarantee that hundreds of people will be saved from death by abortion because of our efforts!

Why do we call and/or email for life? Will it really make a difference? Look at it this way, if we do nothing, we will get nothing. If we don't let our representatives know what we think, they will do whatever they want. We can't just push the button at the voting booth & walk away.

Wichita - Pro-Life Unity Conference June 5th

The Kansas Coalition for Life is hosting the 3rd Pro-Life Unity conference at the courthouse in Wichita, Kansas on June the 4th. We will be discussing the need for united Pro-Life nationwide and around the world. One of the topics will be the Monthly Call for Life at MonthlyCallForLife.com. This monthly effort encourages people to call and/or email their representatives on the first Friday of every month in order to challenge them to end abortion and human killing research.

Mark Gietzen, the President of the Kansas Coalition for Life will introduce the Signature Ad for 2008, and will encourage people to sign this ad which will appear in top Kansas publications.

Gail Richardson will also discuss the monthly Prayer Pivot, which encourages people to pray for an end to abortion around the world through all the time zones, starting at 12:00 am on the first Friday and ending at 12:00 am the next morning.

How important is prayer and fasting?

How much more effective can prayer and fasting be when it is accompanied with action? More than you can imagine. I believe that prayer and fasting are necessary, but laws typically change when we reach out to our representatives to change them. It has been thirty five years since Roe vs Wade, and 50 million Americans have been murdered in the womb. It's time to end this, and God gave us voices and fingers for a reason. We can call and email/write/fax our representatives and let them know how we feel.

For those of you who are really into prayer and fasting, join the monthly Prayer Pivot every first Friday at PrayerPivot.com. Then, if you would like to take action, join the Monthly Call for Life on the same day at MonthlyCallForLife.com. Then, get out to your local abortion mill on the first Saturday following the first Friday.

It's not just abortion we need to pray and take action with. People are encouraged to pray and fast for all topics for 24 hours around the world. Here are some of the other issues that need attention:

-- Genetic selection --

Minnesota and our Federal Government are pursuing the forced extraction of DNA from all newly born people in America. This information will be used in many ways, such as screening for health "defects", such as Down Syndrome. We all know what happens to 90% of the Down Syndrome children. They are with God because of their extermination. There is also talk of identifying "criminal" DNA, or other psychological defects. What do we think they will do to people who are found to be "defective"?

President Bush signed the Federal bill into law last month - Click here and here for more information.

One of the things the bill will provide is "`(D) the availability of Federal funding for newborn and child screening for heritable disorders including grants authorized under the Newborn Screening Saves Lives Act of 2007; and `(E) other relevant information as determined appropriate by the Secretary."

People fly to America from around the world to kill their daughters. It is illegal in China, punishable by death there, and also illegal in India to scan for the presence of a female in the womb in order to kill her. Not so in America. Having an unwanted daughter? Head to your local murder mill and get rid of the little inconvenience.

Human Life International pointed out today that "An astonishing 100,000 IVF pregnancy attempts are made annually in the United States alone, usually involving more than one embryo. The vast majority of such babies do not survive the unnatural thawing and implantation procedure. Currently in the USA 500,000 tiny children are in freezers awaiting eventual use, and 50,000 more join them each year. In Croatia, HLI's Dr. Antun Lisec claims that more babies die from the
"fertility industry" than by surgical abortion."

Not only that, but many of the IVF procedures result in "multiples", more than 1 baby as a result of implantation. When there are more than 2, a procedure known as selective reduction is recommended. Selective reduction is a fancy word that means kill. So if there are five babies, 3 are recommend for extermination, so as to increase the viability of the other two. "What will happen to the other three?" is a question expectant mothers and fathers ask. The answer given? "They will be absorbed by the body".

These are some examples of what I believe we have to pray and fast for every month. There are many others. Because the culture of death has been in power for so long, it will take determined action to stop them and turn the tide.

Yes, prayer is important, but action is too. Without action, the culture of death will continue its murderous rampage around the world. 10s of millions of people are killed by abortion alone globally every year. The scientific community is killing just as many or more.

Why is this going to make a difference anyway?

Well, first of all, doing nothing gets us nothing. Hit-And-Run Claim Filed Against Abortionist George Tiller

A claim for damages was filed against George Tiller, a partial-birth abortionist, by Mark Gietzen, President of the Kansas Coalition for Life, on October 30th, 2007 in Sedgwick County, Kansas. The claim alledges that Tiller struck Gietzen while Gietzen was standing in front of the Women's Health Care Services, an abortion mill which is owned by Tiller. According to Gietzen, the hit-and-run incident caused him to sustain injuries to his arms and legs.

Seventy-five pro-life teachers, parents and children successfully picketed the NEA convention in Philadelphia on Sunday, July 1. Aged eight to eighty, they took positions on all four corners of Arch & 11th Streets, displaying high-visibility signs and posters easily seen by thousands of NEA Delegates disembarking from shuttle buses or entering and leaving the massive PA Convention Center’s doorways.

Pro-lifers and delegates were interviewed by reporters and photojournalists from FOX, Philadelphia Bulletin, Washington Times, Catholic Standard & Times, etc. Many delegates openly expressed disbelief, skepticism, and even shock, at the revelation that NEA was involved in abortion at all – much less in an advocacy role – much less pro-abortion. They were totally unaware of NEA’s long-standing “Family Planning Resolution” supporting "reproductive freedom” and “all methods of family planning” – including abortion. Some refused to accept the well-documented fact that NEA is one of Planned Parenthood’s primary advocates and actually co-sponsored huge pro-abortion rallies in Washington in April 2004, April 1992, and November 1989.

A few belligerent delegates verbally berated the pro-lifers, accusing them of “lying”. Others thanked pro-lifers for bringing NEA’s abortion activism into sharp focus. Some said they would raise the issue on the Convention Floor and attempt to have NEA totally abandon its pro-abortion agenda and activism. Bob Pawson, National Coordinator of PLEAS and NJEA member, said, “We joined NEA for collective bargaining representation; not to be misrepresented on socio-political or moral issues like abortion, homosexuality, or who to vote for. Respect the diversity of 3.2 million members. Totally disengage NEA from the abortion issue. Become truly neutral and completely non-involved.” "The NEA leadership's pro-abortion agenda is a perverse way of protecting our jobs. Babies are our business; our only business. For NEA to condone, much less promote, killing babies in their wombs is not only a moral outrage; it’s economic suicide. Abortion costs us our jobs.”

NEA wants us unified for contract negotiations every few years, yet simultaneously divides us with radical, far left, extremist positions on issues like abortion. News flash: We don’t feel unified. We feel betrayed. We resent the use of our dues monies to subvert our personal moral values, and then being offered “thirty pieces of silver’.” “I urge pro-life NEA members across America to run for union offices at all levels, including Convention Delegate. Take back our union. Join the NEA Reform Revolution.”

Over 9,000 delegates from all 50 states and the District of Columbia will gather in Philadelphia., Penn., from June 30 - July 5, 2007, to attend the 86th annual National Education Association (NEA) Representative Assembly. The Representative Assembly is the union’s highest decision-making body. Delegates will be joined by thousands more in attending the NEA’s 146th annual meeting, which will run concurrently. The slogan for this year’s annual meeting is “Fighting For Great Public Schools—yesterday. Today. Tomorrow.” But Bob Pawson is not going to let the group’s meeting go quite as smoothly as its leaders might hope.

The national coordinator of Pro-Life Educators and Students (PLEAS), Pawson has called on pro-life activists to “stage a picket of the National Education Association leadership for their unmitigated support of abortion: the killing of future students in their wombs.” In addition to the obvious “moral outrage,” Pawson said the NEA’s position has an economic impact that “eliminates the jobs and careers of teachers and school employees.”

Last week, the Supreme Court upheld the partial birth abortion ban by a vote of 5 - 4. Partial birth abortions are considered to be the most gruesome procedures by many Pro-Life leaders. It is one in which a baby, up to the day of delivery, is partially delivered feet first, up to the head, and then killed before removing the dead body from the woman.

Senate To Vote On Embryonic Stem Cell Research Bill

New Jersey Right to Life, Crossing Over Ministries and Expectant Mother Care-EMC FrontLine Pregnancy Centers traveling with EMC Mobile Clinic # 1, along with other members of the pro-life community will hold a press conference outside Metropolitan Medical Clinic, 40 Engle Street, Englewood, NJ on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 11 a.m.

The clinic had been closed since February 24, 2007 after the Health Department found violations that "posed immediate and serious risk of harm to patients." The investigation occurred after a complaint was filed by Newark Beth Israel Medical center reporting that a 20 year old woman nearly died from a botched abortion performed at the clinic.

Copies of State Health Department records obtained by The Record of Hackensack revealed that state health officials investigating the clinic found "forceps encrusted in 'brownish blood-like residues,' rusty crochet hooks used to remove IUDs and a quarter-inch of dark red 'dirt and debris' under an exam table. Sterilized items were also not stored or handled properly. For example, two plastic open top bins of sterile forceps, speculum and gauze kits were stored directly on the carpeted floor next to the copier in the main office and surgical instruments were found in the same drawer as light bulbs.

Today's Record of Hackensack reports that the state Health Department has given the green light for the clinic to reopen today, Friday, March 23rd. According to The Record, the State Health Dept. failed to inspect New Jersey's largest licensed abortion clinic for five years, despite the department's own rules that require visits every other year. The Department of Health claims that their failure to inspect the clinic did not result in a threat to patients' safety.

The March for Life in Washington D.C., put on by the March for Life Education and Defense Fund, is the largest annual Pro-Life event in the world. If you haven't been there yet, well, you are really missing out!

The event is always held around the anniversary of the Roe vs Wade decision of 1973. This year it will be on January 22nd. This decision, along with Doe vs Bolton, decrimalized killing human beings in the womb, all the way up to the day of delivery.

Schenck replied "Absolutely 0 mentioned, except ...there were words spoken during the service about the value of every person, so there was at least a hint. ...and we know of course where the Catholic Church stands on this. No one in that room was ignorant of where the Catholic Church stands on the dignity and the value of every human life, born and unborn. They have called them amniotic fluid-derived stem (AFS) cells and said that they represented an “intermediate stage” between embryonic stem cells and adult stem cells. There is one thing I find interesting at Pro-Life events, almost every single time, during or after an event, pro-abortion people come up to me and tell me that I am not allowed to show video or pictures of them without their permission. Why do they do that? Why aren't these people proud of their position?

Nick Cannon came out with a similar video not long ago called Can I Live.

When he was confronted about this "Pro-Life" video, he denied that was the purpose of it. He said it was a "pro-Nick" video. Ms Magazine said according to the The Philadelphia Inquirer, Cannon said ""Can I Live" is intended to be "pro-Nick," not "pro-life or pro-choice"". As a matter of fact, they practically accuse him of being disingenuous by saying:

Sheesh. At least when Eminem makes a politically charged video he stands up for it.

Nativity display stolen by angry employee of "Tiller the Killer".

Wichita, Kansas

A security official, John Rayburn, who works for George R. Tiller, the notorious late-term / partial birth abortion doctor, stole a nativity scene belonging to Operation Rescue on December the 14th. Apparently he found the display offensive and removed it from the public grassy area in front of the abortion clinic, and placed it inside their property area.

The following photographs were taken two days before the items were stolen by Gail, a person who prays at the aboriton mill. The accompanying titles are also hers.

(His future held a cross. But praise God, though born into difficult circumstances, His life was not snuffed out before it began)

An AP story on the MSNBC.com web site shows us how sick we have become. A Jewish man chooses to use a murdered baby to try and heal his son.

Notice one important point in the article. He claims to have "a deep faith in Judaism". He also stated that "long hours of prayer prompted the family to volunteer Daniel for the risky procedure". How long do you have to pray to use a murdered human being in a process like this? How can he support the murder of innocent human beings like this? He might rationalize that "the baby was already murdered anyway, so what's the difference?". The difference is we are not supposed to kill fellow humans because they are unwanted and then use them for grotesque experiments. What if this were 1943 Nazi Germany? Would he agree to use a murdered Jew to try & cure his son?

Moral depravity goes beyond the mere pleasure seeking in America, it has entered a new realm, the realm of death.

> "Birth control" kills unknown numbers under the lie that it doesn't cause abortions.
> South Dakota voted to kill humans. This was the first ever life killing vote in America by American citizens. Up until now we could hide behind the legislators / lawmakers / "government" rule. No longer. The vote is in & American citizens voted to kill innocent children in the womb.
> Churches allow murder-supporting (abortion / euthanasia / embryonic stem cell research) government officials to take communion, which in turn pollutes the message of the sanctity of life that they try to deliver every Sunday
> Churches don't actively challenge their parishioners to stand up against this evil for fear of losing their 501c3 tax exempt status, or possibly causing some men & women in the pews to be uncomfortable if they discuss the topics that are so carefully avoided.
> Selective reduction kills unknown numbers of people around the country as the process of in vitro fertilization creates many babies, not just one. The doctor tells the woman to "reduce" the number of children in the womb so she can avoid complications. How do they do it? How do you think? They kill the other children of course

A person murders someone in cold blood & he gets three squares, TV & a gym. A baby is created & she gets the death penalty because she is unwanted.

What a sick, twisted society. Do you wish to challenge my opening statement "America has become Nazi Germany"? We have killed around 50 million people by abortion & unknown numbers by birth control, gender selection, selective reduction and genetic selection.

Are you a part of the problem or part of the solution? If you do nothing to stand up against this evil then you are as bad as the Germans who sat back & watched the Jews, blacks & other undesirables get taken away. If you do nothing, you support this evil by your inaction.

Oppose the fetal pain bill

Should Pro-Life people support legislation that might still allow people in the womb to be killed, though it might slow down our efforts overall? I used to think so. More and more though I am of the mind that we should only get behind solid life saving efforts. Case in point, the fetal pain bill which is up for a vote this week. The Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act," HB 6099 will require doctors to read a statement to women seeking an abortion, informing them that a child as young as 20 weeks feels pain, and that the mother can choose to anesthetize her child before killing her. Well, they don't really have to say "killing her", but saying "before having the abortion" means the same thing.

Dr. Paul Schenck from the National Pro-Life Action Center and NationalProLifeRadio.net said yesterday:

"the Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act is a two-edged sword. While calling attention to the humanity of the child targeted for abortion, it equally sends the intolerable message that you can legally kill the child - just consider anesthetizing her before you do it.

Schenck says that’s like telling the Ku Klux Klan that you can “lynch the Black man, just anesthetize him before you string him up!”, or to the Nazis, “you can gas the Jews, just give them some anesthesia before you do.” This is what he calls “the abortion distortion”

“When you legalize killing the innocent in cold blood - nothing else makes sense.” Schenck maintains. “You can’t have any straight lines, nothing fits, everything is illogical.” That is the problem with the legislation pending before Congress, he says. “For Pro-Lifers, this is very disturbing legislation, how do you accept killing, when you reject the pain associated with it?” Schenck says he understands what some members of Congress hope to accomplish. “This does call attention to the humanity of the child - she senses pain, and dies in unbearable agony. That will help us come to terms with the realities of abortion.” But, he says that it could have the opposite effect as well. “Anesthesia could appease our collective consciences, and leave us feeling “well, it isn’t all that bad, she dies painlessly and silently.”"

This act is a distraction. Too much time and money is spent on smaller legislative issues when we should be staying on message. Abortion is wrong, it is murder and it is evil. That is what we need to say over and over. Some Pro-Life groups are turning against those of us who believe that compromise bills are wrong. We are being accused of being out of step with major Pro-Life people and efforts.

Every Pro-Life group knows that Right to Life is the biggest Pro-Life compromise group in the country. They will make deals every way possible in the hopes that all of the little successes that they get will work toward slowing down or ending abortion on demand in the long run. I think Pro-Life groups around the country are feeling tired and are ready to take whatever successes they can get. Perhaps the "small steps" are the right way?

No, not now and not ever! Abortion is wrong, period.

Brian Rourbough, the new director of Colorado Right to Life said "This law is a bad law" and "It's good to notify women that children are tortured during the abortion, but it's bad to pass a law that allows abortions to go on."

Steven Ertelt of Wyoming Right to Life disagrees.

"His (Rohrbough's) comments come in contrast to state and national pro-life groups, so his is the lone voice in the wilderness," said Ertelt."

Mr. Rourbough is not the lone voice and National Right to Life does not speak for Pro-Life.

This issue is exactly like the stem cell issue. With that issue people want to argue that stem cell research yields no results anyway, so why invest money in it? If you get pulled aside to the scientific argument that it doesn't work, what if it does some day? What if some guy, like Hwang in Korea, fakes his research. What if he claims to find a cure for paralysis? What if it is demonstrated that killing embryos for science can benefit mankind? That is one big reason why we should stay away from arguments that aren't based on morality, only on science. We must stick to the fact that it's murder and we shouldn't do it.

Now with this fetal pain bill, pro-abortion representatives will parade their doctor forward, and Doctor "A" will say babies in the womb don't feel pain. Pro-Life representatives will present Doctor "B", who will say they feel pain all the way back to 20 weeks. Pain, schmain, this outrageous argument must end! They are being killed and we should stop trying to make a deal with the devil.

When will Pro-Life groups understand that what we are talking about here is pure evil? Over 3,500 children a day are being ripped from the womb and we want to give them pain drugs, rationalizing that once we tell women what they are doing fewer of them might do it.

Pro-Life people must stick to the facts and stop trying to push through incremental bills. We must get out in the streets and tell people that enough is enough! We have millions of armchair Pro-Lifers out there. If 10 percent of us spoke up on a regular basis our representatives would know how we demand from them that they should end abortion and baby killing research. But the problems is, we don't do it. Day after day goes by in silence as millions of Pro-Life people do nothing, except maybe pray in the quiet, warm comfort of their homes, or donate money. Prayer is good and necessary. Donations are good and necessary. But they are not the only things that we must do. We must be active and in the streets. The civil rights movement would not have succeeded if people didn't get out in the streets to show their outrage, and the Pro-Life movement needs the same!

The Pro-Life movement is struggling because there is no Pro-Life movement. We are many scattered organizations and people with great messages, but outside of the annual March For Life in Washington D.C. we rarely unite for action efforts and to support or oppose such compromise bills. National Right to Life purports to represent us but not one single major Pro-Life group in this country supports them. I know, some people and groups come out to support these occasional efforts, but overall, every major Pro-Life group calls NRTL the "compromise group". Politics is taking over Pro-Life and we have to stop that now!

LifeNews.com reports that seven Democrats "have asked President Bush to rescind his appointment of Dr. Eric Keroack as the new head of the family planning programs at the health department".

Their reason for this request is because Dr. Keroack is the medical director for a Massachusetts crisis pregnancy center. Crisis pregnancy centers are run by Pro-Life advocates. The centers provide support and options for a pregnant mother other than killing her child.

America watched South Dakota vote to kill American citizens

Do you realize the implications of the South Dakota vote on Referred Law 6? It was the first time in American history and perhaps the history of the world that a vote was taken that literally decided the fate of innocent human beings.

How many times have you heard people say "if we could take it out of the hands of the unelected judges, the American people would vote for life". Well, the time came, and did we vote for life? No. South Dakota condemned Americans to death. I want you people of South Dakota to look at every single statistic of human beings who have and who will be killed by abortion in your state because of your vote. Every time a person dies, I want you to remember, you voted for thier death.

Up until this point in America, Americans have had the luxury of hiding from the reality of abortion. We left if up to our political parties to do the dirty work for us. Democrats have been a solid pro-abortion party and many Republicans never really did much for the movement.

You don't agree with me? For twelve years the Republicans controlled Congress and the White House, and what did they do? They almost passed the embryonic stem cell research bill, that's what they did. It took President Bush to use his first and only veto to stop their insanity. Okay, you throw the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act that President Bush signed at me.

Think about that one for a minute. Before that act was signed, babies were born "alive", even though "doctors" tried to kill them in the womb. Jill Stanek was a nurse who witnessed this horror first hand at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Her testimony helped end that insane practice, but obviously, abortion doctors didn't stop doing abortions, they just had to really make sure the babies were dead before they came out of the womb.

Add to this mess the fact that President Bush was the first president in history to sign legislation that would allow using killed human beings for research.

South Dakotans voted to condemn American citizens to death. America can no longer hide from the reality of abortion. The line has been crossed. A vote for LIFE was taken and the wrong button was pushed!

How Will The Supreme Court Rule Next Week?

With all the forced abortion cases coming down the pike recently it's no surprise to learn that Sandra Cano, the plaintiff in the 1973 Doe vs Bolton case was forced by the ACLU to pursue an abortion. It's also no surprise to learn that the case was based on fraud. Everything they did & do is based on fraud and lies, like how many women were dying from back alley abortions, how many women were having abortions & 1,000 other statistics and facts.

Next week the Doe vs Bolton case is coming back to a Supreme Court nearest you. (the U.S. SC for you libs who need it spelled out) Do you think there are enough pro-life representatives on that court? I don't, & I think it will be tossed out, just like the Roe vs Wade decision not too long ago.

What could make a difference? If people got sick and tired of being sick and tired of these people in government who have no respect for human life. They pass more laws protecting sea lions and snail darters than they do humans. Why? Because we let them. All we do is whine, write and talk about how bad it is. Are you satisfied with that? "The GOP Forced Me to Have an Abortion"

In July I was attacked, & still am, by the liberal pro-abortion establishment for my so-called "stupidity" by writing an article about an article posted in the Onion, an online satire magazine. Not only do the liberals sign me up for every online sales racket that there is, they also order products in my name & companies are stupid enought to ship them without verification.

Anyway, back to the Onion article, as I stated then, and as many pro-life people who supported me proved, the article wasn't far from the truth. My main point was that even though a person wrote an article which was supposedly a "satire", the center focal point in the article discussed how if we pro-lifers wouldn't have stopped oral contraception, the fictitious woman never would have had the abortion. Here's a quote from the article:

"The funny thing is, I actually have the pro-life movement to thank for this opportunity. If my HMO wouldn't have bowed to their pressure not to cover oral contraceptives, I never would've gotten pregnant in the first place."

Now here's a quote from a Virginia attorney from a piece written in the Washington Post in June:

"The conservative politics of the Bush administration forced me to have an abortion I didn't want. Well, not literally, but let me explain."

So, as I have said to the many pro-aborts who have challenged me on my stupidity, the funny part isn't that I thought that the article was true, it's that they believe it isn't. Not only do they blame conservatives and pro-lifers for their abortions, they believe it is because of us that they suffer while thinking about having abortions, while having them, and afterwards, when the psychological trauma sets in.

Five Pendedrgraft Abortion Facilities Closed In Florida

Two Orlando abortion facilities, Orlando Women's Center and EPOC have been shut down indefinitely, and the state Agency for Health Care Administration also barred abortion at the other facilities, located in Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Ocala for a week. Dr. Pendergraft's medical license has also been suspended because of accusations that he performed illegal late-term abortions.

The Washington Times reports

"An emergency order issued Wednesday by the Florida Department of Health suspending Dr. James S. Pendergraft IV's license stated he showed "a flagrant disregard for the laws of the state of Florida and a willingness to endanger the lives and health of pregnant patients"

Within the last week, Pendergraft has come under scruteny and investigation after a baby was born and subsequently killed by facility owner, Belkis Gonzalez. Jill Stanek reported that witnesses allege the baby was "placed kicking and gasping for air in a biohazard bag at an abortion clinic in Hialeah, Florida, on July 20". She also stated that:

> The medical examiner has determined this baby was born alive.
> The person putting the live baby in a biohazard bag has been identified as clinic owner Belkis Gonzales.
> Clinic workers allegedly hid the baby on the roof the first time police searched the premises.
> A police department official says if state attorneys come back with anything other than homicide charges, he will pitch a public fit.

The Times also states:

Marti MacKenzie, a spokeswoman for Dr. Pendergraft, said he has "encontered obstacles" since opening his first abortion clinic in Orlando nearly 15 years ago.

This is a Bush-run state that is constantly anti-choice," she said. "Dr. Pendargraft is many women's last hope, but there are always movements afoot to hinder him."

Last year, a former patient filed inhumane-treatment charges against Dr. Pendergraft. She said she gave birth to a live 23-week-old in a clinic restroom after a failed abortion. She stated that the baby died after nobody responded to her calls for help.

LifeNews.com reported:

The state also took actions against Pendergraft yesterday (August 16th) over a 2004 abortion in which he said a woman was 22 weeks pregnant. He gave her a drug to take at home to initiative contractions and begin the abortion.

The woman ended up having the abortion at home before she could go back to the abortion center and a hospital later estimated the age of the baby at 25 to 27 weeks, according to the newspaper.

The state said Pendergraft "endangered two female patients by performing third-trimester abortions outside a hospital setting and without concurring certification from a second physician."

Is Plan B a "safe" drug?

Lifenews.com points out that the FDA is now pushing for over-the-counter sales of the morning after pill, known as Plan B. They appear to be holding their fingers up to the wind in order to make that decision. Are they considering ethics at all in this matter?

Dictionary.com defines ethical as the following:

1) Of, relating to, or dealing with ethics.
2) Being in accordance with the accepted principles of right and wrong that govern the conduct of a profession. See Synonyms at moral.
3) Of or relating to a drug dispensed solely on the prescription of a physician.

Don't you think definition number 3 is interesting considering the current debate? The pro-abortion industry wants a pharmacist to dispense a drug which could kill the person taking it or the person who might be born. Since when did pharmacists become doctors? The last time you picked up a prescription, did the pharmacist ask you if you were diabetic or if you had any other problems that might cause you to have a reaction to the drug that they are giving you? No, they expect the physician to have already done that for you. All they do is put pills in a bottle, after which a front desk clerk takes your money for them.

Morally, we know that this decision is wrong, just like we know abortion is wrong. There is no room for debate on this topic. Plan B kills human beings. Period.

Yet many seek to debate the topic nonetheless. Not only that, moral and ethical issues are being turned over to public opinion.

"The FDA also said Monday it had reviewed 47,000 public comments on the morning after pill and that the majority of them supported the drug."

Just because people wanted blacks to drink at different fountains or to sit at the back of the bus, didn't make it ok. Just because Germans wanted to incinerate Jews and use them for soap or other decorations didn't mean it was ok. Just because we want to stop pregnancy by all means necessary doesn't mean it's ok.

America is not mob rule, we are supposed to be a country that stands above all other countries. Too often we see representatives basing their decisions on polls, not on right & wrong. President Clinton was famous for making decisions with his finger to the wind.

The lies in the media, from doctors and from our elected representatives would have us believe that Plan B is not an abortion drug like RU486. Unfortunately they omit important parts in their argument on purpose. An example is this is in a debate which was held a couple of days ago with Charmaine Yoest from the Family Research Council and Melanie Drnach, a representative from NOW.

Charmaine - I was under the impression that it was the FDA’s responsibility to make sure that prescription drugs are only getting into the hands of the people who are supposed to get them. This is really, really shocking and horrifying. You know, these groups that are pushing for this are not out there lobbying to see the pill over the counter. There’s a good reason for that. It’s because there are serious health consequences associated with (not understood).

Kudlow asks “Is there a health risk, this is an unsupervised procedure. Is there a health risk to women in your view?”

Melody - Let’s be very clear, this is not a procedure and it is not risky, it is simply an extra strong dose of birth control. That’s all this is. Birth control pills in a strong form to prevent unintended pregnancies”

Really? The birth control pill isn’t dangerous? Outside of the fact that it kills babies, what more does it do to women? What about these known problems?

Increased risk of breast cancer
Increased risk of blood clotting, heart attack and stroke
Migraines
Gall bladder disease
Increased blood pressure
Weight gain
Mood changes
Nausea Irregular bleeding or spotting
Benign liver tumors
Breast tenderness

Let’s not forget cervical cancer.

“Researchers from the International Agency on Cancer Research in Lyon, France, found that the risk increased by more than 50% after five years of oral contraceptive use, and more than doubled after 10 years. The study was published in The Lancet (Vol. 361, No. 9364: 1159-1167)."

Cervical cancer is a relatively uncommon cancer in the United States. It will be diagnosed in about 12,000 American women in 2003, according to American Cancer Society estimates, and it will kill about 4,000 women. Cervical cancer is not among the top 10 cancers in American women, mainly because of early detection through Pap tests.”

Go ahead, roll the dice. It’s your life right?

So, an “strong dose” of birth control pills a couple times a month won’t be bad? Later on Melody makes the statement “I’m not a doctor”. Yet she has no problem telling us that Plan B isn’t dangerous?

Charmaine follows up with - “Melody, I think that is absolutely shocking for you to make that kind of statement. You have to have a doctors supervision to take these drugs. You can’t take the pill if you have (?) disease, if you have diabetes. Are you aware that the Centers for Disease Control says that there are 500,000 women in this country who don’t know that they have diabetes?”

Melody - “Charmaine, I am not a doctor. Unless you’re a medical doctor that can speak to that...I am not a doctor. I rely on the scientists...I rely on the scientists. The overwhelming scientific medical experts who testified and who are employed by the FDA...this is not an abortion. This is intended to prevent pregnancy.

Charmaine - “This is letting the abortion controversy cloud women’s health issues”

Melody - “Be very careful in your wording, this is birth control, this is not abortion”

Kudlow - “Does this pill affect promiscuity and other sexual mores?”

Melody now tells us how she is an expert in sociology.

Melody - “Absolutely not, absolutely not. It is not going to entice young women and young men to engage in risky behavior because a extra dose of birth control can help prevent an unintended pregnancy. Of everything, I would think that groups out there would be supportive of this because our goal is to reduce abortions, and this is an absolutely sound, safe, accurate way to do so”

When asked if this drug will cause more or fewer abortions, Charmaine points out that “in Europe where it has been legal, there has been an actually an increase in abortion”

Also - Charmaine - “In actual fact, this drug does, in some instances, cause an abortion”

Melody - “No, it does not cause an abortion” "Plan B does not terminate an already implanted, fertilized egg"

She then accuses the pro-life movement of spreading “fake fear”, after which she says:

Melody - “This is not an abortifacient, this is birth control”

Charmaine - "You are playing with the semantics of it." and "This is why it shouldn't be over the counter, because she's not willing to tell the truth about it."

The pro-abortion movement is good at the argument aren't they?

They play word games & the public falls for it. Plan B does not terminate an already implanted egg, as the representative from the National Organization for Women says. What it does is prevent a fertilized egg from implanting. Web sites around the world support the lies, but if you go to the FDA web site you will see the answer for yourself.

Let’s repeat the key line:

Again, the pro-abortion movement is playing games with life & they believe that the American public is too stupid to recognize it. Are we?

Hillary Clinton is blackmailing President Bush and the country. She said she will not vote for President Bush's FDA nominee unless Plan B is pushed onto the unsuspecting American public. Also, pharmacists will be put on the spot when they challenge distribution of this drug on moral grounds.

There is no debate on this topic. There is no debate on the topic of abortion either. We have to go back to sanity. Plan B is not ethical. It is playing Russian Roulette with human beings. Even if the odds are 1 in 1000 that you will kill your child because of this pill, would you want to be the 1000th person buying it over the counter and killing your child, or possibly yourself?

If we do nothing to stop the killing of defenseless children in America then we are just as guilty as those who are doing it. We must unite so that our voices will be heard. We have to let our representatives know that we want them to stop killing human beings. They should defend life, not take it. Look at all the forms of decriminalized murder in America:

> Abortion - all the way up to the day of delivery
> Sex/gender selection
> Birth control pills
> In vitro fertilization
> Embryonic stem cell research
