Two Steps in the Election Process
We elect our representatives to "represent" us right? What does that mean? Does it mean they should go to cocktail parties, dress nicely and schmooz with the swells?
No
It means they are supposed to have an idea why they were elected into office and represent what it is we want them to do now that they are there.
In the last 10 years we have put into office many proLife representatives and have twice elected a president who we think is proLife.
Many say we have to allow the process to work. I'm tired of waiting. Thirty two years is long enough. Over 4,000 people a day dying is enough!
President Bush's statement from a while back showed us where he is with his belief:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush said on Tuesday the United States is not ready for a total abortion ban, but he would sign a ban just approved by Congress on what opponents of the procedure call "partial birth" abortion.
"Yes, I'll sign the ban on partial birth abortion," Bush said at a White House news conference. "And no, I don't think the culture has changed to the extent that the American people or the Congress would totally ban abortions."

You tell me. You are the "culture". Do you disagree with President Bush? Do you think it's time to end abortion?
Well you'd better tell him if you do, because he doesn't think so!!
He did sign the ban, but it is heading for the Supreme Court and it will be overturned unless you speak up now. ProLife legislation will fail until Roe vs Wade is overturned because it can all be challenged based on that "right to privacy" ruling in 1973.
Don't wait for our representatives to end abortion on their own time. Thirty two years is too long and I don't think we want another 46 million people to die while they get bold enough to do the right thing.
We need to do more. We need to demand that abortion stop now!
Electing the representatives is only the first step and if we don't follow through with the next step we might lose our window of opportunity.
Don't just push the vote button every couple of years and expect abortion to end soon. I implore you to do more. Every 24 seconds a person dies of abortion in America. It is not too much to ask of you to do just a little bit more.
Go to http://www.marchtogether.com right now and join the Monthly Call for life. We call our representatives on the first Friday of every month and let them know that we expect them to end abortion and we will keep calling until they do.
We all have our own calling, but to end abortion we have to unite and speak loudly!
Speak up and speak out. There is no legislation in place to end abortion and the Supreme Court has had 7 of 9 individuals nominated by Republicans in place for almost 20 years and have failed to overturn Roe vs Wade.
Yes pray. Yes continue with your other efforts and projects. But also demand the next step from our representatives.
Unite with us once a month until we have ended abortion!
